Standing Nude (Modigliani)

This is a reproduction of a painting by Amedeo Modigliani (1884 – 1920). He was an Italian painter and sculptor who worked mainly in France. This painting is one of a series of nudes painted by Modigliani in 1917. These paintings created a sensation when exhibited in Paris that year. The exhibition was closed by the police on the day it opened on the grounds of obscenity. One of his nudes sold for the staggering amount of $170 million in 2015 in New York.
